Windows Hosting with IIS Applications

IIS applications control the working environment of .NET scripts. A virtual directory will be created by default at the root of your application.

Your Control Panel allows you to setup a subdirectory of your windows package as an IIS application. This allows you to install .NET applications which require web.config in that subdirectory.

All code executed on the web server is encapsulated into IIS Application Pools which determine how code is processed.

Application Pool Managed Runtime Version

You can choose which managed runtime version you would like your application pool to run in. The default is v2.0 and allows code to compile with ASP.NET v2.0, v3.0 and v3.5 Frameworks. To compile code with ASP.NET Framework v4.0, you need to set your application pool to with v4.0 as the managed runtime version.

Recycle Application Pool

Recycling your application pool will flush any existing cache, for example, if there has been a syntax error in your web.config file.

Designed with flexibility in mind, AWStats can be run through a web browser CGI (common gateway interface) or directly from the operating system command line.

Database - MySQL

Scheduled tasks allow you to enable programs to run automatically on the server at specific intervals. Please note that each account can only run 3 scheduled tasks.

Sub Domains

Sub domains allow you to have a new web address for separate areas of your website, for example you could have support.sky.uk.net and point this at your sky.uk.net/support/ directory. You can use sub domains in conjunction with additional FTP accounts, creating, in effect, simple hosting accounts with a sub domain and additional FTP accounts.
